YOUR ROLE
The candidate will lead the Outbound operations of the International Transportation team – this team maintains operational excellence across all banners in North America (troubleshooting carrier issues, cost/lead time savings projects, weekly/monthly reporting, invoice auditing/processing, RFPs as needed, etc.). The candidate is highly skilled in people management and data management/analytics so to directly contribute to the execution of tasks. The candidate will lead the continuous improvement initiatives set out by the department and assist the VP in high-profile projects. The candidate collaborates closely with all other members of the team, ensuring actionable takeaways from analytical findings.
- Leads a team of 3
- Promotes and initiates continuous improvement increasing the efficiency and productivity of the team and generates superior business results
- Identifies inefficiencies and suggests process improvements
- Leads cost and/or lead time savings projects end-to-end
- Creates monthly financial KPIs showcasing opportunities for better cost control
- Supports VP and team with ad-hoc analytics or supplier facing needs (RFx quote comparisons, spend related carrier follow-ups, etc.)
- Responsible for completing objectives setting for themselves and direct reports
- Participates in periodic staff meetings to discuss and align business opportunities and priorities
- Is responsible for personal development and career planning
