YOUR ROLE
The Total Rewards Specialist acts as an expert in compensation and benefits services, including insurance and pension plan, for all sectors of ALDO Group, Head Office and Retail positions, as well as for all countries. The Compensation & Benefits Specialist participates in overall Total Rewards files, develops, and implements policies and procedures which aim to improve the overall total compensation. The Total Rewards team is currently reviewing its compensation and benefits strategy and you will be at the forefront of these changes!
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute the annual salary review cycle (base and variable pay), including technology and communications requirements, and guides HR Advisors and people leaders through the process.
- Develop communications and training material for employees and managers, facilitate information sessions on the total compensation program in conjunction with the HR team.
- Oversee compensation activities with the payroll team and ensure compliance with Total Rewards policies.
- Prepare weekly-monthly reports based on performance indicators.
- Support the annual renewal of contracts with group benefits and insurance carriers.
- Provide subject matter expertise to assess the impact of renewal proposals to ensure alignment with plan philosophy, ensuring the competitiveness of premium rates with an eye to sustainability for the future coupled with employee experience.
- Plan and execute the biennial open enrolment process for employee group benefits plans, in partnership with the Senior Coordinator Benefits. Oversight includes design and development of technology and communications requirements.
- Lead the disability case management with our vendor and the HRBP team.
- Support the annual review of investments for our savings plan and ensure compliance and facilitate information sessions to the associates.
- Participate in total rewards surveys, tracking and monitoring survey participation costs and interpreting results. Recommend survey process improvements and continually look for new sources of relevant and reliable market data.
- Design and build metrics, reports, and tools to inform program decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze business outcomes relative to compensation, benefits and recognition programs.
- Act as a key contributor to the overall total rewards strategy and the annual total rewards proposal, in collaboration with colleagues on the Total Rewards team.
